Building and Testing

With our general design agreed upon, we set out to test materials for the axles and ground contact surfaces. We decided that cardboard tubes gave us the best strength to weight ratio for the design we were aiming for. As for the ground contact materials we decided that insulation foam board would be best due to it being easily cut into whatever shape we desired. With a heavy snowstorm hitting Chicago we decided that a ski-like design for the ground contact components would be best.
